The Automated Check Valve "ACV" accomplishes two functions. First as a Discharge Check Valve for a positive displacement plunger driven chemical pump and secondly as a Flow Detection device to moniotr the flow of chemical. The ACV transmits a signal to an electronical controller (i.e. PLC or SCADA) when the flow of chemical discharges from the unit. If no signal is received the operator will be notified of the "No Flow" status. With the proper installation of the ACV false no flow alarms are eliminated and costly errors in data extraction from reporting systems become more reliable.
